Plum Krazy to Rock Sock Hop

The San Francisco Rod, Custom and Motorcycle Show will feature the Band "Plum Krazy" Saturday night during the Sock Hop in the Car Club Pavilion. Two car clubs, The Laf-A-Lots and Golden State Street Rods have teamed up to make the pavilion into a 60's drive-in and garage scene for the Sock Hop.

The Sock Hop is the first time the San Francisco event has featured the band "Plum Krazy" and hosted a 60's style, old - fashioned Sock Hop. Spectators are welcome to join in on the dancing fun and to come to the show dressed to dance the night away in their 1960's attire.
The band "Plum Krazy" has been playing together around the San Francisco Bay Area since 1998. Their music is the classics of Rock and Roll. The music will take you back to whenever you want to go or whatever memories these classics bring to mind.

The band is made up of some very talented musicians. Charles Marquez is on lead guitar and vocals. Charlie has been playing the guitar over 40 years and favors the songs of Eric Clapton and Santana. Edward Stucken plays the gutar and does vocals. Steadie Eddie, as he is known, has been playing guitar for over 30 years and his favorite songs are from Boz Scaggs and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Doing duty on the bass guitar and background vocals is Jeff Gessini and like the other members has over 40 years of playing to his credit. He lists his favorites as Rocco Prestia. Willie Weckes and Peter Cetera. The man who pounds out the beat on drums is Michael Miranda who is the youngest member of the group with 10 years of playing experience. Mike provides a strong steady backbeat for the band. His favorite bands are the Rolling Stones and Beatles.

Rick Perry, the promoter of the San Francisco event says" We are very excited to have the clubs put together the Sock Hop and hope the spectators really enjoy the classic Rock and Roll from 'Plum Krazy'".
The Sock Hop, Car Club display and "Plum Krazy" are part of the Budweiser Pavilions, which consists of the six lower buildings at the Cow Palace. The San Francisco Rod, Custom and Motorcycle Show uses all 9 buildings and over 300, 000 Sq., ft. of the facility to house over 500 entries for this years show.

I will be taking picture's and making a post later.  I plan on posting updates to my twitter account.  If you have not used twitter give it test drive click here.

Hello I'm Johnny Cash

My 2 year old climbed up on the couch grabbed me by the cheeks looking me straight in the eyes with intense sincerity  said "Hello I'm Johnny Cash" then got down off the couch and started shaking her rump like she was Elvis.  I just about busted a gut from laughing so hard.  After I calmed down I wondered where in the world she heard that.

Then I remembered we watched 'Walk the line' with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon the other night.  Walk the Line is based Johnny Cashes life.  It starts with Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) standing in front of a table saw in Folsom Prison remember how he got to that point.  It went through his life as a child then an airmen in the Air Force a traveling door to door salesman and then getting a record deal with Sun Records in Memphis, TN.

I enjoy watching this movie with my daughter.  She loves to dance around and sing to the great soundtrack.  She always wants me to forward to the music parts.

I give this movie 4 stars and thought Joaquin did a great job.  I would recommend it to anyone that likes a good performance with a good sound track.

Enjoy.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone:

Hope everyone had a safe and sane holidays. It was peaceful around our kneck of the woods. We were busy for two days and then stayed around the house after that. Went to a friends house for New Years Eve and sat around and eat and bully shacked.

This is my first full week back in 2 or more weeks. I took some time off with the holidays that made my weeks short. All is good with everyone in our house hold. Tammy and I are trying to get things in order for the new year. Not resolutions but goals that we would like to accomplish this year. Things like buy a home, pay down debt things like that.

Tammy is starting a new year in her home based business. I have a doctors appoint tomorrow for an echo gram. I am hoping my ejection fraction is higher since last test.

I will let you know

December Update

Good day to all:

It's been awhile again, I tend to go days, weeks and months in between post. Quick weight update I am now 177 pounds. If you have been following my blog you know that is amazing weight loss. My health has been doing great. My heart is rebounding like it should be. I see my heart doctor in January and look forward to a great update from him.

I went to Salt Lake City for three days to replace a server. The trip was quick but a great one. The swap went off without any issues and we had a few of the key people praise us for a good turn over.

Everything else is going okay for the most part. You know with 4 kids life is always fun. Especially with 2 teenagers, a 9 year old, and a baby. We need a bigger house to accommodate everyone.

For now I will leave it at that and try to send a new update tomorrow with more details. Take care and have a great week.

Kelsey

What an afternoon it was. We went to the movies to see Harry Potter and the goblet of fire I give it 6 stars it was great.

While we were waiting I thought I saw Sandy the mother of my oldest daughter Kelsey. I told Tammy and she said that is funny I thought I saw Kelsey.

Well during the movie the baby was fussing and Tammy had to take her out of the movie and into the hall. There she saw Kelsey waiting in the hall for our movie to get out. Tammy and her talked for a while and she got to see her sister Adriana.

After the movie when I came out I saw Kelsey and we started to talk. I wanted to give her a hug but did not know if that was okay. So we talked for a while and then went outside were we met up with Sandy her mom and Bo her brother. We all talked for a little bit and I gave Kelsey a card with our phone numbers on it.

It was great to see here I have not seen her in probably 10 years. I thought about her often and wondered where she was and what she was doing and how school was. She is 16 now and driving, WOW, driving. She is beautiful and growing up to be a rather nice women.

I am a nervous wreck wondering if she will call or want to get to know me. I hope she will want to see us again and get to know her siblings.

Hope for the best for us.

Normal

Works been going good. Made a trip to Reno, NV to deliver a plotter and set it up. Spent 2 days working with the 5 people in that office.

As of last Tuesday I weighted in at 266. When I hit 259 I will have lost 100 pounds since my heart problems in May. That will be quite an acomplishment.

Working out, I still do 20 minutes on the treadmill. An then work out my chest and stomach. Then I get an aqua message that caps the workout rather nicely.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I am not looking forward to it at all. I hope it will all be about the friendship and the talking and not about my surgery. We will see how it goes, this will be the first year I will not eat 2 or more plates full. I will be lucky to get down a small plate.

Been spending time with my son on his Yugioh card obsestion. Well I like the fact that he is collecting something. We went down and bought him the Yugi Evolution Starter Deck. This deck had Dark Magician and he says that is the coolest. Now he need Dark Magician Girl that will make it complete. He really wants the Egyptian God cards but I found that these are rare and very expensive. Three of them can cost in excess of $150, yes for only three of them.

Baby is walking everywhere and into everything. She is growing up so fast it is crazy. Brittany is a teen looking for a boyfriend or at least checking them out.

Tammy is doing great I am so lucky to have her as my wife. She is working hard on losing weight. She is working out hard and eating right. Her Pampered Chef business is still going okay a little slow right now but she is doing great. I am so proud of her.

Oh yea almost forgot. Went and had an EchoGram done and my ejection fraction is approx 25-28% that is doubled what it was in May. Not out of the wood work yet but doing better.

Better go for now, take care and sleep tight.

Wow! It has been a while. Well a lot has happened, We have moved from Sacramento, CA to Redding, CA. Took a good CAD support technician position with the same company (CH2M Hill). We moved from an apartment to a nice 3 bedroom house. Appears to be a good neighborhood, quite and clean.

Getting settled in and just working. Working on getting the kids registered in school. We have Brittany (12) going to Parsons a really good all around middle school. Brandon (5), that is different we are trying to decide between 3 schools. I think we have narrowed it down to 2. We will see.

My wife is doing well. Taking care of the kids :) She is investigating her options. Either going back to work or to College. Time will tell.

Well for now that is all I am going to type. There is a lot of little things that have happened but another time.
Here it is Saturday morning. I must say I will not allow my son to watch scary movies so late again. I had a visitor 3 times last night. My son come's in to see Dad when he is scared. I guess good Ol' Dad will protect him.

Just got done playing catch with the family, yes in the house, but with a soft small ball. Were watching GAC (Great American Country) channel and it is laugh at loud weekend. Some hilarious country vidoes.

We are talking about our trip to Las Vegas next week. I am going to do some work in Las Vegas for 3 days. I am able to take my wife with me and we are hoping to have a good time while were gone. The kids are going to there Grandparents. We are looking forward to see Las Vegas and all the sites. Who knows we may even win (lose) some money.

Going to go for now. We have nothing going on this weekend. The wife is going to get her nails done. This will conclude her pampering for now.
Well here I am after 2200 and wanted to show my wife what this blogger thing is about. Well as usual, when it comes to computers, yea, yea honey. I found the move Lost Boys on TV and turned it for my kids to watch. They say they like vampire's, well it must be the movie Little Vampire. This one is going to leave nightmares.

I tried to turn it and they said no. So what the heck let them watch it.

I am very tired and time to go to bed.
